Red Eléctrica del Norte

In Chile, Redinter owns 69.9% of the share capital of Red Eléctrica del Norte S.A. (REDENOR), while Cobra Instalaciones y Servicios owns 30.1%.​ ​ ​

In May 2016, REDENOR was awarded a project for constructing, operating, and maintaining a 278-kilometres, 220 kV transmission line, as well as constructing a Nueva Pozo Almonte substation and three line inlets. This project marks the beginning of a business plan for the Expansion of the Backbone Transmission Systems for Execution and Operation through the exempt decree No. 373, with the Chilean Ministry of Energy.​ ​ ​

The project, known under the contract name "Conditions of execution and operation of the new construction work belonging to the National Transmission System," consists of two stages. Stage 1 involves the NPA 220 kV Disconnector Substation, which is currently in commercial operation, and Stage 2 includes laying out the first circuit of the New 2x220 kV Line between Nueva Pozo Almonte SS – Pozo Almonte, laying out the first circuit of the New Line 2x220 kV between Nueva Pozo Almonte SS - Cóndores, and laying out the first circuit of the New Line 2x220 kV between Nueva Pozo Almonte SS – Parinacota (currently in the commissioning phase since 30 September 2022, awaiting the letter of Start Up of Operations by the Coordinator). They are located in the rural area of the Pozo Almonte municipality, Tamarugal Province, in the Tarapacá Region. ​ ​ ​
